John Garvey is special counsel in the Corporate Services Group focusing on corporate and commercial projects within the resources industry.
John has extensive experience in major minerals and petroleum projects, government ratified agreements, oil and gas and mining joint ventures, corporate and asset acquisition, international sales of iron ore, salt and other bulk commodities, LNG and domestic gas sales contracts, domestic coal sales contracts, shipping of bulk commodities including long-term contracts of affreightment, native title and engineering construction and project management documentation.
Before commencing at Lavan Legal, John was a partner at Mallesons Stephen Jaques for over 20 years where he specialised in major projects and transactions in the mining, oil and gas and infrastructure sectors.
