Greg Nairn is a senior associate in the Construction and Contracts Team within the Commercial Advice and Litigation Group.

Greg has been practising as a lawyer since the completion of his articles in December 1999 and since that time has developed extensive litigation expertise, including having conducted trials both as counsel and instructing solicitor.  His litigation experience also includes:

• appearing as counsel on appeals before the High Court of Australia and the Court of Appeal (Western Australia);

• appearing as counsel for clients in trials, arbitrations and hearings before the State Administrative Tribunal;

• representing clients at coronial inquests before the State Coroner;

• preparation of rapid adjudication applications and defences to rapid adjudication applications; and

• regularly appearing in court to handle interlocutory (preliminary) disputes on behalf of clients.

Greg’s experience enables him to have an input at all levels of litigation, from the initial drafting of a claim/defence, to getting a case up for trial and the organising of the trial itself.

Greg also has experience in contract drafting and review, including the Australian standards suite of construction contracts.
