One of the largest community based Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander legal organisations in Australia, the Aboriginal Legal Service of Western Australia (ALSWA) has been providing legal aid and support services for over 30 years.

The iiNet Team Sprint Cup is a 6 x 50m relay format sprint swimming team event held annually in Christ Church Grammar School pool. All proceeds go to Autism West Support Inc. which provides support for families with children who are on the Autism Spectrum.
In support of the iiNet Team Sprint Cup, Lavan Legal proudly sponsors two key fundraising components of the event - the Lavan Legal Corporate Challenge and the Lavan Legal Corporate Breakfast, which in 2011 proudly hosted Duncan Armstrong and Laurie Lawrence as guest speakers. The Clontarf Foundation is an organisation that aims to improve the education, discipline, self esteem, life skills and employment prospects of young Aboriginal men through its academies and relationship based programs.

Western Australia's first public cord blood bank, the Rotary WA Cord Blood Bank was established in 2007 as an initiative of Rotary WA and managed by Red Cross Australia.
Lavan Legal has been a supporter of the Rotary WA Cord Blood Bank since its inception and has sponsored the charity for the past four years.

The Fogarty Foundation was established by Annie and Brett Fogarty to provide academic scholarships to outstanding university students, thereby encouraging them to continue their education and careers in Western Australia. These scholars are the future of business and the professions in Western Australia.
Lavan Legal is proud to support the endeavours and careers aspirations of the Fogarty Foundation scholars by hosting hypotheticals and networking events, thereby providing opportunities for the scholars to meet and learn from some of Western Australia's current business and community leaders. Fremantle Press is an independent publishing company that has been publishing work from new and emerging Western Australian writers and artists since 1975.

Established in 1995 The Graham (Polly) Farmer Foundation supports Indigenous youth by providing resources and opportunities that enable them to enhance their skills and achieve their potential. The McComb Foundation is a non-profit organisation founded in 1999 by prominent surgeon Fiona Wood and scientist Marie Stoner to research innovative methods of tissue regeneration and help improve the way people heal from burn injury. Named in honour of internationally-respected plastic and reconstructive surgeon Harold McComb, the McComb Foundation researches and develops new and ground breaking ways to speed up wound healing, reduce pain, stress, anxiety and scarring, and generally understand the science behind burns. ‘Spray on skin’, the revolutionary treatment for burns patients, was pioneered by The McComb Foundation, and is testament to the important work they do aiming to improve patient quality of life. Lavan Legal embraces its social responsibility to promote the values and objectives of Reconciliation Australia.
In 2010 Lavan Legal launched and implemented a Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP) endorsed by Reconciliation Australia. Our RAP aims to contribute to reconciliation by building stronger relationships, demonstrating respect and providing opportunities for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Australians. The Rottnest Channel Swim is a 19.7km open water test of endurance. A well known annual event within the local community, the swim attracts more interstate and international competitors every year.
Lavan Legal are solicitors to the Rottnest Channel Swim Association and naming rights sponsor of the Lavan Legal Corporate Challenge, a swim within the swim and a race between corporate teams to be first on the beach at Rottnest Island. Part proceeds of each corporate challenge team's entry fee are donated to Starlight Children's Foundation. Many Lavan Legal partners and staff compete in the Swim each year. View Website >

For Christmas 2010 Lavan Legal partners and staff donated a Toyota Hiace delivery van to The Salvation Army. We also donated a van to the Salvation Army's Genesis Centre for Christmas 2009.
The Salvation Army helps more than 1 million Australians every year. Their services are wide-ranging and diverse to meet all areas of need in the community. This includes providing meals, accommodation, counselling and financial support to the victims, operational support staff and emergency services at the front line of national disasters like the Queensland floods and WA bushfires.
The Salvation Army's Genesis Centre provides homeless people in Perth with basic needs that most of us take for granted including food, shelter, clean clothes and washing facilities, as well as providing access to doctors, dentists, advocacy services, optometrists and hairdressers. They help over 600 people every week.

The Starlight Children's Foundation Australia delivers programs designed to brighten the lives of seriously ill children and their families by giving them an opportunity to be distracted from the pain and stress of their treatments. In 2010 and 2011 Lavan Legal sponsored and competed in the annual St. George Foundation Golf Classic. The Golf Classic raises money for the St George Foundation which provides funds to small community charities that support Australian children who are physically, socially or economically disadvantaged. Lavan Legal recognises the volunteers of Surf Life Saving Western Australia as true leaders. We congratulate them for their exceptional services to the people of Western Australia. Many Lavan Legal staff volunteer at Surf Lifesaving Clubs and can often be found patrolling local beaches. We proudly celebrate leadership in surf life saving by sponsoring the Lavan Legal Club of the Year Award which commemorates performance, leadership, community involvement and improved life saving services in Western Australian clubs. Through its predecessor firms Lavan Legal has been associated with The Centre for Cerebral Palsy (TCCP) for over 40 years. Lavan Legal partner Ian Curlewis is a director of TCCP.
Each year during Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week Lavan Legal invites clients to support TCCP by having a 'Big Night In', enjoying a night at home and sharing pizza, wine and a DVD with their families and friends. For every Big Night In, Lavan Legal donates $10 to The Centre. Many clients generously offer additional support by making personal donations.
As a firm we participate in The Cerebral Palsy Awareness Week Street Appeal. Our Social Club collects gold coin donations on The Centre's behalf from staff on casual dress days. These donations are matched by the firm. View Website >

Lavan Legal proudly supports the Esther Foundation, an organisation providing crisis accommodation and education programs for Western Australian women in need aged 14 to 35. Our support includes hosting events to raise Esther's profile with Esther patrons including the Premier of Western Australia, The Hon. Colin Barnett MLA and former Minister for Environment/Youth, The Hon. Donna Faragher JP MLC, painting houses with the Esther girls, sponsoring tables at Esther fundraising events, donating computers and organising clothing drives. View Website >

Established in 1981, Uniting Aid provides practical assistance, financial aid and other support to people in need living within the City of Stirling.
